Blog Response to “A Great Reason For Appreciating High School Teachers” By Bob Lenz 5/11/12

Teaching has to be the most influential and important job in our world. But teachers appear to be under-appreciated on all levels. Even our government gives off a lack of respect for the profession and the enormous impact it actually has by constantly cutting funds to education year after year. I appreciate the stats that Bob shared in his article. It paints a better picture for me of what high school teachers deal with in general. After all of that who would want to do it anymore? Bob’s article increased my personal appreciation for those who have taught me and who will teach my children. I pray that the passion that teachers possess burns on so that they can continue to fight the good fight in educating our youth.
