Blog Response to: How Do We Help Kids Make Better Choices? Let Them Practice by Matt Levinson 6/7/12

I found this article insightful. I think this also applies to the classroom setting, not just social settings for kids. I think it would be cool to have a “personal development” class where teens enter a fictitious world with a set of responsibilities and consequences that could happen in real life.  Because our youth face a different level of challenges in our society this could help them in their decision making process. Maybe they would be more open minded and receptive to learning how to make wise decisions in a classroom setting as opposed to being scolded.
